Driving to work

I had an interesting drive to work today, it takes me almost 2 hours to get to office which is in Dubai from my home. I'm driving and I suddenly see 3 boys walking in the middle of the Highway. The traffic was bumper to bumper and I was in the extreme right lane, now these three young fellows were walking between the first and the second lane. I figured why not move to the second lane and talk to the boys and ask them why they decided to walk.

Walked along side Ahmed, Khalid and their friend, Khalid was the most talkative and told me that it was faster to walk so they decided to hike. When Ahmed saw Khalid give his view he said "why would we pay for a taxi when it would take longer, thats why we decided to walk." I talked to them for a while and then . . . . .

. . . sure enough they were faster and overtook me.

Love the fact that you took time out of your life to ask them what they were up to. Most people would have simply looked at them and watched them pass by without knowing why. Life gets more interesting this way doesn't it?

hey i was there too!!!

Though i didnt speak to them like you did. I was in the second left lane and moved to the extreme left lane which moves faster and hence i over took them.

i was a strange sight.

Aiyee. This is scary, knowing the traffic in Dubai - I just hope none of them got hurt!

I once decided to walk in Dubai - same reasons....very bad idea! I still have scars from the sun burns.
