Out Goes Jinnah In Comes Musharraf

Out goes Jinnah and in comes Musharraf. Who cares for history when we have the present. To hell with Mr. Jinnah, he's been dead a long time now we are living in the age of "moderate enlightenment", we don't need old icons we will create our own legacies.
That's the message you will get when you buy new text books for your high school kids. Our esteemed leaders did'nt even wait to die, I'm guessing because they knew they would have been forgotten within a week in that case. So what do they do, they engrave their messages in the text books of the nations youth this way atleast some of them will remember the leaders taking their country "forward".

For the complete story read Daily Times.

i dont consider myself patriotic towards pakistan, never lived there, but Jinnah?! i could rip Musharrafs head off for this one! None of em ever gave a damn about Jinnah anyway yeah? So half a century old nation with no future we were... and no we dont even have a past left. this is so frustrating.

this comment is a bit tangential to this post but still : there was a recent pol science work and thesis which states that the relationships between india and pakistan have been at their best only when pakistan was under a pseudo-dictator and not a political party.
