Doodle & Photography

I had a long time back started a blog for doodles that I made in my free time, since starting that blog I havent had any time, so no doodles no blog. Honestly I suck at art, but there is a story behind why I still try. Once while in college I wanted to pick up easy credit by taking an art class apparently the class required a pre req. that I did not have so the prof God bless his soul asked me to study a painting that he showed me and told me to analyze what the artist had in mind while painting it, I had no clue, why didnt the prof ask the artist himself ? anyway to cut a long story short I didnt get the class as I did not know how to appreciate art and ended up taking another class, American Musical Theatre, it was an amazing experience I'm glad I didn't get into the art class. So there since I didnt get into the art class I draw crazy stuff and since I have a decent viewer base on this blog I'll torture you from time to time with my art work.

Now lets see how well you all can appreciate Art (if you call this art that is) The test is you have to tell me what the great Maestro i.e Myself is trying to depict in this doodle.

On to other things, I'v been wanting to start photography for some time now but have not able to take any decent Photographs. The idea was to have a new blog with just photographs but then I'm thinks it will end up dead so i'll start posting some pics on this blog if and when I take some.

it means you are twisted and deranged and want to eat up the world!

since I'm the teacher Zak gets an A for art appreciation.

Boo! you flunk the class, your assesment of the master piece is off the mark. Take art 101 and come back.

Interesting...let me take a stab at this:

I see a 'crying eye', being watched and attacked by the world. There! did I pass? lol!

Opinionated sorry you need to take Art 101.

Enyur Close, very close, you got a few things right missed a main point.

jerzee thats not a UFO...

my stab at that particular object would be the compressed version of a cook's hat (whatever it is called)... tells me Mr Rebel likes to cook. Maybe the tears are from cutting onions!

or maybe he's crying because other people eat everything he cooks and there's nothing left for him...

*hmmmm*

do I still have to take art 101?

Aisha, good assesment, close to what was intended, you pass not with flying colors though.

Boo.... what can I say you are hopeless not even art 101 can redeem you. Forget about art and stick to numbers.

Lots of eyes watching you, deceitful and spiked. Piercing glares, devoured by people's malicious insides. Trapped. Yet the tears seperate or "protect". The eye itself seems to develop spikes (anger?) in order to protect itself thus turning into that which it wishes to run away from, thus shedding tears because of it.

A weight lifted from the eye...sort of like a weight lifted from the "shoulders". there is an element of relief in the picture as well.

Yet one could also interpret it such as the world being filled evil and yet one is protected from it. And thus tears of gratitude flow, or tears of the opressed, protects one from it.

I used to draw and paint abstract pictures such as yourself. And eyes were often a part of it. They usually represent oneself.

Do start posting pics. I will be travelling soon myself so will probably do that now that I got a new camera.

hi,i think what it means is that someone is in a lot of pain and misery for a really long long time!!or maybe the weak gets weaker every moment and is not able to fight back and all it can do is show the world it in pain by its tears!! i dont know just a guess:)

Everyone Passes The class except Boo (sorry buddy you and art dont go together). Closest to what I had in Mind are Enyur, Shaira and Sara. Shaira you tried a lot of possibilities you were the closest. It is supposed to be an eye, in a cluttered world surrounded by opresseion, about to be eaten up by something. But there is Hope in the doodle depicted by what Opinionated calles a UFO.

well in this pic, i see a lot of negative feelings. tears, sharp objects stabbing at u. it just has a very negative feel to it. people watching. everyone surrounding u and basically u wanting to get away.

i dunno if i was anywhere close to it but oh well. maybe u shud gimme one of ur artworks and if it suits any of my entries, i can have it up on my blog :D

and u shud REALLY go ahead with the photography. once u pick up that camera...it's all gonna come :) and put it on this blog itself coz maintaining more blogs is a hassle. looking fwd to ur pics :D
