I recently became a year older and I was just thinking of everything thats been happening in my life, how time is or has been passing me by, of the things I have achieved, things I would like to achieve or should have achieved till now. I’ve had some dreams, some ideas of what I'd like to do, some of those have been accomplished while some have been put at the back of the closet that is my life, this closet mind you is quite messy right now and needs to be organized in a big way.
I believe in fate and destiny, I believe that whatever happens, happens for a reason, sometimes fate knocks on our door with an opportunity and says "The ball is in your court lets play tennis" fate has a court, it brings you the balls and the racket too, it might even bring along the ball boy and you say no I'm not interested in playing right now, you walk away from that opportunity, close the door on fate. On the other hand you might be wanting to challenge fate at a latter date and try to go to its clubhouse with all the equipment, it might just not be interested in playing with you no matter how much you try. You try so hard you give it so much that fate at that moment will laugh at you and say "I’ve come playing so many times and you’ve said no, lets now see how hard you can fight". That is when you have to decide if you want to keep knocking fates door until your knuckles are raw and you're left with nothing but a wounded soul or if you want to go back and wait patiently for fate to come back to you when its ready to play. It is decisions like these that pave the way of our life, sometimes the judgment can be wrong and we have to be strong enough to face our own decisions.

even the bad decisons come for a reason. they make you stronger and wiser from the next rally, hard though it might seem at the moment.
Thats true Sidrah, every action we take has some kind of results and even though we analyse every angle we can't always be right, but as you said when something goes wrong we come come out stronger and better.
"sometimes the judgment can be wrong and we have to be strong enough to face our own decisions."
That is one of those 'easier said than done' things...
I always feel we should play the game when the ball is in our court...if we have to convice and cajole fate into playing, we might be so tired by the time it agrees that its no use. Not to mention the time we wasted trying to convince it to put the ball 'in our court'...let it in, i say. We should face it.
Very nice post...and excellent picture. Once again...i'm glad you decided to come back to the blogging world. :)
Thanks Specs, good comment, its true what you said to some extent, but sometimes when the ball is in our court the situation is not always ideal.
and happy belated! you should drop a hint beforehand, see, hmpff
I've realized, through some bitter experience, that knocking till knuckles become raw is useless. If fate is not interested, there's nothing you can do to make it change its mind. However, you should always knock a few times.
Again, learnt through some tough experience, patience is the key to everything. Knock... keep knocking off and on... sometimes fate is in the mood to play but is feeling lazy; just needs a little nudge.
I'm actually following that strategy right now for something... knocking on doors, but not hurting myself, and patiently waiting for fate to get in the mood for a game or two.
If not, I'm happy to stay where I am :)
Sidrah thank you, i figured if i posted here after the birthday i'd get some sympathy greetings, lol.
Boo ma man, I like your comment the best, I get what you mean, good luck with patiently waiting for fate to play agame or two, in the mean time take a weekend off and experience the Dubai Summer weather.
yaar bohat burray waqt pe ye post kiya. Am in limbo with fate at the moment, whilst fate was knocking, i ignored its calls....i thought if it was fate it would come back. It has come back but i am in such a sticky sticky situation that now i know not what is fate and what is not.
ye bhi fate hee ho gaa.
Fate is a funny thing Dr. Bongi, it plays tricks with us. Thing is we should not fight fate too much, it can get dissapointed and not wanna play with us any longer. Good luck with your situation and hope you know what to do, all will be well.
Yeh Bhi fate hi hai.
Interesting take DR, I enjoyed reading your thoughts.
I believe life is destiny but that we also have free will and, good or bad, we are often able to steer our lives away from what has been destined for us...
Thanks Lotus, very true, we are able to and we do at times steer our lives away from what is destined, sometimes its good, on other times we might have regrets about our decissions.
You know I really believe if you really want to do something with all your heart its as i the heavens themselves lend you a helping hand. But you have to decide first
A belated 'Happy Birthday' to you.
I would love to be that young again. lol
The older you get, the faster the years seem to go by. So put your dreams in the closet if you must and use that closet to organize your dreams. Other things might be a priority right now, but keep those dreams active.
Prepare for them, make plans for them, keep them burning in your heart, but never close the closet door on them. Instead clean out the closet and make room for them or at least the preparation for them or one day you'll wish you had.
There is a special kind of pain that comes with regret, and it doesn't go away with age.
super belated happy birthday :)
