"Eyran" Situation

The following taken from Christan Science monitor, I just want to guage the opinion of others on the subject.

A senior Foreign Office source said: "Monday's meeting will set out to address the consequences for Britain in the event of an attack against Iran. The CDS [Chiefs of Defense Staff] will want to know what the impact will be on British interests in Iraq and Afghanistan which both border Iran. The CDS will then brief the Prime Minister and the Cabinet on their conclusions in the next few days. There will be no invasion of Iran but the nuclear sites will be destroyed. This is not something that will happen imminently, maybe this year, maybe next year. Jack Straw is making exactly the same noises that the Government did in March 2003 when it spoke about the likelihood of a war in Iraq. Then the Government said the war was neither inevitable nor imminent and then attacked."

what a farce.... its obvious the bar stewards will settle for nothing but a puppet corridor stretching from israel in the east to pakistan in teh west... tey're simply biding their time. I reckon they're waiting for 'independent' or puppet iraqi constitution to take over, pull out and then attack iran. Such a shame 'coz you can see how Iran is innocent.

We all know its going to happen. Iran is planning to start trading their oil in Euros as opposed to USD, which is the current world standard. Last country to take that step was... you guessed it, Iraq.

I just hope Pakistan chooses who to side with wisely!

the cynical in me says -before i can jump to stop it- that the arab-sunni world would probably welcome the attack on the villified 'shia crescent' (behold the images this conjures up) especially in the aftermath of the demise of sunnis in iraq...
