Lost

I have not been posting origional content lately, I don't know why. I don't feel like writting or saying much. It seems I'm lost, but I don't know how. I'm hurting deep inside and I don't know why. I'm thinking but I don't know what. The only explanation I can come up with is that I'm lost. My life does not seem to have a direction. A few years back there were so many things I wanted to do. I'm slowly loosing the drive to do any of them. Ambitions, dreams, desires seem to have taken a back seat in this broken down vehicle we call life. My life has become monotonous, where I used to be unpredictable, I can now be found doing the same old boring things everyday. I have changed and I do not really know why. I don't like this change and I am trying to fight but I seem to have lost that drive to fight. I hope that instead of just talking about things I want to do, I can muster up the courage and the drive to go ahead and do it. I hope that I can break the unseen shackles that are holding me back.

My Eyes Pour Out Tears- Bulleh Shah

He left me, and himself he departed;
What fault was there in me ?

Neither at night nor in the day do I sleep in peace;
My eyes pour out tears !

Sharper than swords and spears are the arrows of love !
There is no one as cruel as love ;

This malady no physician can cure.
There is no peace, not for a moment,

So intense is the pain of separation !
O Bullah, if the Lord were to shower

His grace, My days would radically change !
He left me, and himself he departed.

What fault was there in me ?

Feet

My feet, they haul me Round the House,
They hoist me up the Stairs;
I only have to steer them,
and They Ride me Everywheres.

Nawab Bugti Killed

Nawab Bugti along with many others was killed today. I hope this incident of the killing of Nawab Bugti a former main stream politician in an encounter with security forces, will lead to a new chapter for the people of Baluchistan. Nawab Bugti a former Governor of Baluchistan was a feudal lord not interested in the improvement of life for his people. In recent years he had tried every thing in his power to impede in the devolment works undertaken by the government in the provence. With his passing I hope a new era will be born where the Balouch people will have better lives and good things to look forward to.

I had previously written about the Balouchistan (Dated Feburary 6th) issue and suggested dealing with War Lords who were using innocent people for their goals. I feel now that I might have written that post in anger and although these people need to be dealt with, some common ground needs to be found instead of violence.

Rumi Again

Thy spirit is mingled in my spirit even as wine is mingled with pure water;
When anything touches Thee, it touches me.
Lo, in every case Thou art I.

PS. I have been very busy lately thus haven't been posting so here is some Rumi for you.

How True

Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough; Money can be got; But they need your hearts to love them.

Unemployment Rate in Pakistan

According to the Government of Pakistan the current unemployment rate in Pakistan is 7.82 % which can be considered excellent when we look at the figures for 1998 which were 19.68. But lets now see how the current government defines unemployment. The Government considers anyone over the age of 10 (This age is according to the government of Pakistan's website on statistics) working 1 hour a week (This is according to an opposition Parliamentarians debate on this years Budget with no objections from the treasurury benches so I'm assuming this is also correct) to be employed. That's shameful.

Pakistan For Sale

"Privatisation in a fair & transparent manner, for the benefit of the people of Pakistan in the right way, to the right people at the right price."

This is the motto of the Privatisation commission of Pakistan. Im not against Privatization I'm just against selling the country's assets for a much lesser value then they should get, I am also against selling the National Assets which are of strategic importance to the country for example PTCL and Heavy Industrial Complex. I am also against selling money making assets at a much lesser value then they could fetch in the open market to Army Welfare Trust and Fauji Foundation without proper bidding process.

The Privatisation Commision of Pakistan in its latest frenzy of selling no matter what has given away money making business at throw away prices. Important Strategic Units are for sale. Money Making Businesses are being sold why? We have been losing a lot of money on the useless Army I wonder when that will be put up for privatization.

Conversation Between a Russian & a Jordanian

Today I had a very interesting experience. I was sitting with a Jordanian and a Russian both could barely speak english. But they were trying to converse. The topic of discussion was the Americans. and the Jordanian asked the Russian what he thought of Americans. (Since they were talking in sign language mostly I think I will also use the same signgs to explain the situation better). So the Jordanian asks the russian if the americans were
The Russian goes "for me no matter" - but he's curious and wants to know what the Jordanian thinks of the Americans so he asks what the jordanian thought of the Americans and the Jordanian goes.
Now that doesnt need any explanation does it.

The Husband Store

A store that sells husbands has just opened in New York City, where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates. You may visit the store ONLY ONCE !

There are six floors and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch . . .. you may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building! So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband . .

On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord.

The second floor sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, and love kids.

The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, and are extremely good looking.

"Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going. She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop-dead good looking and help with the housework.

"Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!" Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop-dead gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please.

Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store. Watch your step as you exit the building, and have a nice day!

Out Goes Jinnah In Comes Musharraf

Out goes Jinnah and in comes Musharraf. Who cares for history when we have the present. To hell with Mr. Jinnah, he's been dead a long time now we are living in the age of "moderate enlightenment", we don't need old icons we will create our own legacies.
That's the message you will get when you buy new text books for your high school kids. Our esteemed leaders did'nt even wait to die, I'm guessing because they knew they would have been forgotten within a week in that case. So what do they do, they engrave their messages in the text books of the nations youth this way atleast some of them will remember the leaders taking their country "forward".

For the complete story read Daily Times.
