Central laundry company launches with $6.8 billion capital

(MENAFN) The Kuwaiti Commercial Real-Estate Company announced that it has established the Central Laundry Company with $6.8 billion capital, KUNA reported.The company will handle laundry service for hotels owned by shareholders.The director of Strategic Studies in the Commercial Real-Estate Company and Head of the Establishing Committee of the laundry company said that establishing the company aims at broadening investment activities.The official said that the services will also be provided for hospitals, military camps, and other institutes due to the increasing demand for laundry services in Kuwait.Among the establishing and shareholding companies are the Commercial Real-Estate Company, Kuwait Parks Company, Al-Oula Hotels Company, International Central Company, Al-Aziziyah United Company, Kuwait Construction House Company, Kuwait and Gulf League Holding Company, and Kuwait Commercial Malls Company, which all own a number of hotels and resorts in Kuwait.

No Muslims Allowed

Guess what I tried to join a club, ya a sports club, in a muslim country, supported by the government, and sponsored by mainstream businesses - This is what i was told, "We are sorry but we can not have muslim members" - I was like come on its a sports club with all the things I like why not? and I was told the government does not allow it. Hard to believe but will look into it deeper. The people were quite helpful in pointing me to another place though. What do you guys think. Why the discrimination, any ideas? I will keep digging. I protest these tyes of actions on part of anybody let alone a sports club.

I'v been away from my blog for almost a week now, the reason was i was very sick, nothing major, just severe cold and flu. I developed a severe bronchital infection and was in bed for most of the time, when I recovered I had to catch up on a lot of work........ hope to continue writting regularly again.

The following taken from Christan Science monitor, I just want to guage the opinion of others on the subject.

A senior Foreign Office source said: "Monday's meeting will set out to address the consequences for Britain in the event of an attack against Iran. The CDS [Chiefs of Defense Staff] will want to know what the impact will be on British interests in Iraq and Afghanistan which both border Iran. The CDS will then brief the Prime Minister and the Cabinet on their conclusions in the next few days.There will be no invasion of Iran but the nuclear sites will be destroyed. This is not something that will happen imminently, maybe this year, maybe next year. Jack Straw is making exactly the same noises that the Government did in March 2003 when it spoke about the likelihood of a war in Iraq. Then the Government said the war was neither inevitable nor imminent and then attacked."
